A large dark dobsonfly-larva imitation with a segmented body and distinct side appendages.
The source index calls this a natural Hellgrammite Nymph but gives no tying materials. This page uses the documented Trident Fly Fishing dressing as a reproducible large larva imitation.
Work through the numbered steps in order, using the materials list and written proportions as your guide.

Prepare the body cutout
Darken the prefabricated hellgrammite body with black marker before the hook is in the vise; let it dry.

Weight the shank
Start thread near the eye, cover the shank, and bind short lead-free wire lengths on both sides while leaving front room for the eyes.

Secure the eyes and rib
Tie dark dumbbell eyes crosswise near the front with firm figure-eight wraps, then tie in copper rib wire near the middle of the shank.

Build the dubbing core
Spin black Ice Dub in a loop and wind it along the shank, stopping just behind the dumbbell eyes.

Mount and rib the cutout
Position the prepared cutout along the upper side of the hook with its appendages free. Wind copper wire in open turns to hold it over the dubbed core.

Finish and pick out fibers
Tie off the rib near the eyes, whip finish, and tease a few dubbing fibers outward without trapping the body appendages.

Work it near rock and current breaks for trout or smallmouth bass, varying weight and retrieve to keep the fly close to the bottom.
