Frenchie

At the vise.

Seat the bead
Add the bead and a few wire wraps. Push the wire behind it, then cover with thread.
Tail and abdomen
Tie a sparse short tail, rib wire, and pheasant fibers at the bend. Wind the fibers into a tapered abdomen.
Reinforce
Counter-wrap the gold wire through the abdomen. Secure and remove the excess.
Pink collar
Dub a small pink thorax. Finish with a narrow thread hot spot behind the bead, whip finish, and cement.
On the water.
Use in a controlled nymph drift. A sparse dressing and appropriate weight help it reach feeding depth.
