Secure the eyes
Lay thread over the front quarter and figure-eight the mono eyes in place. Continue thread back to the bend.
Set the tail
Bind white marabou one shank-length beyond the bend. Add a few flash strands along each side.
Wrap chenille
Secure chenille at the tail, then wind touching turns forward, sweeping fibers back. Cross around the eyes and tie off.
Finish the head
Trim the chenille core, form a small thread head, and whip finish. Cement the knot and clear the hook eye.

Beyond the bench

Use a light presentation in shallow water, allowing the marabou to pulse between strips.
