Work through the numbered steps in order. Use the written materials and proportions as your guide; select an image for a closer look.
Eyes and flash
Secure dumbbells crosswise behind the eye. Wrap thread rearward; attach doubled flash at the bend and trim.
Mouth and claws
Dub a small support ball. Add craft-fur mouth fibers and a feather on each side, splayed outward; trim butts.
Add legs
Mark leg tips brown. Bind rubber strands crosswise with figure-eight wraps; return thread behind the legs.
Spin the fur
Form a thread loop, distribute craft fur inside, spin, and brush. Move working thread ahead of the eyes.
Wrap the body
Wind the fur loop forward between legs and around the eyes. Secure, trim waste, and whip finish.
Trim and mark
Brush out fibers. Trim top and underside flat, protect legs, and mark underside lines. Keep eye and gap open.
