Set eyes and tail
Secure mono eyes at the front third. Tie black marabou at the bend, extending two to three shank-lengths.
Add flash and collars
Attach sparse red flash. Palmer black marabou, then red marabou ahead, stroking fibers rearward.
Build the head
Attach small synthetic-fiber bundles crosswise on both sides, working toward the eyes to form a horizontal platform.
Trim the silhouette
Whip finish and cement. Comb fibers outward, then trim a broad, flat rounded head while keeping the hook gap clear.
