  1. Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp, step 1: Weight and egg sac

    Weight and egg sac

    Attach dumbbells behind the eye. Bind orange yarn rearward and trim just beyond the bend.

  2. Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp, step 2: Add shrimp details

    Add shrimp details

    Secure craft fur 1.5 shanks long, mono eyes past the egg sac, longer flash antennae, and four trailing rubber legs.

  3. Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp, step 3: Wrap the braid

    Wrap the braid

    Wind braid forward to midshank. Secure without cutting; leave the remainder for the back.

  4. Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp, step 4: Layer the wing

    Layer the wing

    Rotate hook point up. Add rabbit clumps at midshank, behind the dumbbells, and in front of them.

  5. Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp, step 5: Close the back

    Close the back

    Rotate back, pull the reserved braid over the weighted eyes, and secure ahead of them. Whip finish and cement.
