From hook to fly
At the vise. 7 steps Work through the numbered steps in order, using the materials list and written proportions as your guide.

Seat the tungsten bead Slip the copper slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook and orient the slot for the inverted hook position. Start pink 16/0 thread behind it.

Tie a sparse tail Tie in a few Coq de León fibers at the rear, keeping the tail short and even. Bind their butts forward to make a smooth base.

Anchor the flash Tie UV-pink Krystal Flash at the tail base and keep the strand under control with the thread.

Wrap the bright body Wind the flash forward in close, smooth turns to the bead and secure it, leaving a narrow space for the fluorescent collar.

Add the hot spot Change to fluorescent-pink thread, build a short collar just behind the bead, and whip finish.

Set the dark wingcase Place a small, controlled drop of black UV resin on the top of the body just behind the bead. Cure it without filling the hook eye.

Seal the body Apply a thin layer of clear UV resin over the flash body and collar and cure it completely, preserving the slim perdigon silhouette.
Beyond the bench
On the water. Fish the small tungsten-bead nymph on a tight-line rig or below an indicator, allowing it to sink before starting the drift.
