Work through the numbered steps in order. Use the written materials and proportions as your guide; select an image for a closer look.

Anchor the sheath
Card Antron to align fibers. Secure two rearward bunches around the shank, with one slightly fuller.
Dub the abdomen
Cover the tie-ins smoothly, then dub a compact yellow-brown body, leaving the front shank open.
Form the shuck
Draw Antron forward and loosely capture it. Snip a few sheath fibers near the front and pull them rearward.
Open the sheath
Lift the remaining fibers evenly with a bodkin. Secure the airy sheath and trim excess at the front.
Add the wing
Clean and stack deer hair. Tie it low over the back, tips reaching the bend; trim the butts.
Finish the thorax
Cover wing wraps with brown dubbing. Whip finish a small head, leaving the hook eye open.
